Pelvic Floor Prolapse

In all types of pelvic floor disorders, the most common symptom is a feeling of heaviness or pressure in the area of the vagina-a feeling that the uterus, bladder, or rectum is dropping out - a pelvic floor prolapse, or dropping down of the lower organs. It's caused by weakness of-or injury to-the ligaments, connective tissue, and muscles of the pelvis. Sometimes Kegel exercises can help strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. We can also try other techniques that help you focus on contracting the correct muscle.

In more severe cases, surgery might be in order.
